President's Message

Greetings MASAE Members!

I hope this letter finds you settled back into your routines after a relaxing and enjoyable holiday break.

As we begin 2018, I am excited about the start of my term as MASAE President. Looking back at my journey to becoming MASAE’s President, I recall my first event, a DVSAE educational event, and how exciting it was to find this community. To this day, I continue to be amazed at how essential MASAE has been in my career growth.

MASAE is more than a professional society; it’s a community. On that first day, I met colleagues who I am lucky to continue to call on today for advice and support. From that first meeting, I knew I had a community of professionals who were genuinely there to support each other. From sharing content and best practices to career advice, I have experienced it all from my MASAE colleagues.

I share this story with you as I hope you have seen or experienced the same kind of value from MASAE. I know that everyone has a different set of goals for their involvement with their professional society. But that level of value and return on investment should be consistent, regardless of an individual’s goals. That return on investment is what I hope we can continue to build over the next year and beyond.

We have a dedicated team of volunteers serving as your Board of Directors and on Committees, already hard at work planning our Mid-Year and Annual Meetings. We also have a great team preparing another fun Golf Outing this summer. I hope to share more updates with you each month, especially on some new initiatives we have coming this year that we hope will increase the value of your membership.

I will leave you with a final message about involvement with MASAE. I hope you will take time to attend an event this year and also encourage a colleague to attend an event or get involved as a volunteer. Please feel free to share my contact information with any colleagues who would like to connect to learn more about MASAE.
